Tanypodinen-Bestimmungsschlüssel

Der vorliegende Band zur Bestimmung von Zuckmückenlarven der Unterfamilie Tanypodinae und des Tribus Tanytarsini (Unterfamilie Chironominae) folgt den früher veröffentlichten Werken über die Chironominae (Tribus Chironomini) und Orthocladiinae sensu lato. Das Buch ergänzt und beschließt die Reihe von Bildbestimmungsschlüsseln für Chironomiden. Damit liegt ein komplettes Werk für Einsteiger und weniger Geübte vor, die sich in der Gewässerüberwachung, Wissenschaft oder aus anderem Interesse mit der Bestimmung von Zuckmücken beschäftigen. Wie in unseren früheren Bänden über Chironomini und Orthocladiinae verwenden wir so weit wie möglich makroskopische Merkmale für die Bestimmung der Gattungen, Artengruppen und leicht ansprechbaren Arten. 

Mit fast 700 Fotografien bietet dieses Buch einen Bestimmungsführer für 27 Tanypodinen-Gattungen und 27 weitere Taxa auf Artniveau. Für Tanytarsini können 15 Gattungen und 10 Arten aufgeschlüsselt werden. Zu jedem Taxon werden Informationen zum Habitat gegeben. 

Diese Schlüssel können für das Gebiet Europas verwendet werden.

This book on the identification of the larvae of non-biting midges of the subfamily Tanypodinae and the tribe Tanytarsini (subfamily Chironominae) is the follower of previously published works on Chironominae (tribe Chironomini) and Orthocladiinae sensu lato in 2012 and 2021. It supplies and concludes the series of illustrated guides for Chironomidae larvae. Thus, a complete work is presented for beginners and less experienced colleagues who are concerned with chironomid identification in water monitoring, science, or because of other interests. Similar to our earlier volumes on Chironomini and Orthocladiinae sensu lato, we used macroscopic characters for the identification of genera, species groups, and easily separable species as much as possible.

With the illustration of nearly 700 photographs, this book provides an identification

guide for 27 Tanypodinae genera and characters for more than 27 taxa at the species level. The identification for 15 genera and 10 species of Tanytarsini larvae is included. For each taxon identified, information on the habitat is also provided. 

The keys can be used in all of Europe without restriction.
